13.00 John Holten, founder of Broken Dimanche Press: “The Codex Book and the Digital White Whale: a talk on the relationship between print publishing and the internet.

Books Books (artists') Books is a day-long symposium bringing together practitioners from the world of independent book publishing.

Publishers, authors and artists will explore the theory and practice of alternative print publishing in the digital age. Books Books (artists') Books is a forum to share ideas and develop practical approaches in discussion with groundbreaking independent publishers and thinkers on print.

Books Books (artists') Books is part of the exhibition Druck Druck Druck at Galerie im Körnerpark. Druck Druck Druck brings the print studio into the gallery, making a space for independent print-based communities from Berlin and beyond. A multidisciplinary, multi-format exhibition, it explores how print can be used to achieve radical goals in art, education and community.

PROGRAM:

12.00 Claudia de la Torre, founder of backbonebooks, will present her practice and discuss making and publishing artists' books.
